Dietetic Technology

The Dietetic Technician is a trained food and nutrition professional who plays a key role in providing quality, cost effective nutrition care and food service management.  Graduates are prepared to work in partnership with a Registered Dietitian in a variety of settings such as hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, schools, community health programs, food companies and wellness centers.

Exercise Science

Anyone interested in the following fields of study should enroll in any or all of the previously mentioned lecture-based courses; physical therapy, occupational therapy, Exercise Science, athletic training, nutrition, personal training, cardiac rehabilitation, chiropractic care, sports marketing, sport psychology, leisure studies, sport management, or any other health and fitness related position.

Health

Healthcare and Prevention is a large and growing field.  There are hundreds of emerging careers in the health field to choose from.  Students interested in the following careers should consider enrolling in one of the many Health courses offered; Education, Community Health, Public Health, Nursing, Physician Assistant, Physician, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Home Health Aides, Hospice Care, Massage Therapists, Social/Human Services, Medical Technicians/Technicians/Assistants, Chemical Dependency Counseling, and Integrative Medicine Careers or Interests.
