Welcome to Normandale's Psychology Department
General Psychology Students on Break, Summer 2008
Psychology is the scientific inquiry into human behavior and mental processes. Psychology recognizes the complexity of these issues and endeavors to utilize both environmental and biological evidence in order to explore, explain, and understand them.
The members of the Psychology Department are committed to providing a solid foundation in core psychological areas. We believe in a rigorous quality education that provides learning opportunities on multiple levels. Our curriculum offers a broad range of entry and intermediate level courses that will enhance the liberal arts preparation for students working toward the AA degree at Normandale, as well as for students transferring to four-year institutions, whether or not they major in psychology. Our courses offer relevant preparation for various specialized programs at Normandale, such as nursing, dental hygiene, law enforcement and business.
If you have questions about emphasizing in psychology or the department in general, please contact Dr. Linda Raasch, the department chair, at 952-487-7111 or email at linda.raasch@normandale.edu.
The Psychology Department is located on the first floor of the Library Building.
