Saturday, 6 August:  Our cabin arrives!

I arrived at the lot at 7:15 AM and was greeted by a very beautiful deer.  I didn't have time to chat because the truck arrived at 7:30 with our cabin kit, as did Jon with his coffee.  Uff dah!  That's a big load!

Doug and Jon unloading a wall panel.

Six wall panels up and others in que to be positioned.  Corner posts lie on the floor.

My hard working crew takes a lunch break.  Minnie searches for crumbs from the master's table.

By late afternoon on Saturday we had all walls up and installed the top plate on the walls (one plate section is resting against the porch.).

Doug, Jon and Keith secure the back wall gable.  The beams in the foreground will support the loft floor.

End of Saturday!  Three rear roof panels are up.  The roof panels are 2' wide, half the 4' wide wall panels.  The have a mere 1.5" of insulation to help keep us warm in winter.

Sunday, 7 August

Mid-morning, and the living space roof panels are almost up.

The first porch roof panel is up and the second one is about to be lifted into place.

After two days, a cabin!  I hoped it wouldn't rain before we covered the roof.
