Details, details:  Making the cabin a home:

My first ever tiling job.  This will be the base for the Jøtul wood stove.

This should make it easier to get to the loft!  Spindles next weekend!

Neighbors Paul and Jack installed the chimney.

Our Norwegian-made Jøtul wood stove was first used Labor Day Weekend.  Hot water is ready for tea!

Jon applied the final "recoater" application of stain.  We have never used a stain that went on so easily and uniformly.  We recommend NatureColor stain from Structures Wood Care in Nisswa, Minnesota.

By Labor Day, the cabin was totally stained, wood stove operable, and places to sleep in place.  Let's go for a hike!

Who says you need plumbing to have "running water"!  The only reason these cabinets are level and plumb are because our neighbor Paul helped install them.

Would you like a table with a view?
