New NCC President Joe Opatz addresses faculty on July 30 after being appointed by the MnSCU Board of Trustees. Opatz will begin his duties as NCC president on Sept. 17.

Opatz named NCC's 4th president
Dr. Joe Opatz was presented as the new NCC president on July 30. MnSCU Chancellor James H. McCormick acknowledged the efforts of those involved in the search for a new president and also praised Opatz’s abilities and passion for education. “I know that he has that deep commitment,” he said.
