Web Site for the Official Student Newspaper of Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota Soup Bowl Sale raises $2650 Story and Photos by Richard Johnson The NCC Pottery Club hosted the Soup’s On Soup Bowl Sale on Wednesday in the ceramics studio. This was the twelfth conception of the event and it raised $2650 for Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People. Over 400 handthrown stoneware peices were crafted for the sale, according to Martha Wittstruck, and for the first time there was a bowl preview sale. Peices purchased during the preview sale were slightly more expensive, but the extra cost guaranteed the best selection. Each purchase included a bowl of soup and warm bread. The sale was clearly a hit, as the studio was packed and the tables filled with faculty and students enjoying the goods.
