Math contest for cash

Hundreds of dollars of prize money will be awarded at the AMATYC Math Contest on Friday, March 7 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Kopp Student Center cafeteria.
All NCC students are eligible to enter.
It is not necessary to be taking a math course this semester in order to participate.
The top scoring men and women will receive prize money for each individual round and for overall performance.
Students must bring their own graphing calculator, but TI-92 graphing calculators are not acceptable.
Practice tests are available outside C3113.
Individuals with disabilities needing special accommodations should contact Dr. Anthony Dunlop at 952 487 8487 at least 72 hours in advance or the MN Relay Service at 1 800 627 3529.

The AMATYC “Student Math League” Contest is a nationwide two-year college contest consisting of a one-hour exam given each year in March.
Each exam consists of 20 multiple-choice questions covering pre-calculus material such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics and probability.
