Visiting scholars exhibit works of art

An artist reception Jan. 25 marked the opening of two visiting scholar exhibits in the Fine Arts Gallery. Paintings by Craig Hill called “All Consuming Youth” and photography by David Luke called “Somewhere Between Life and Death” will be on display through March 1.
Luke photographs miniature plastic green army men and applies computer techniques to them, he said. Hill paints acrylic posters that feature a Hello Kitty theme and superheroes for a nostalgic look.
Hill and Luke are part of NCC’s Visiting Scholars program. Luke teaches Black and White Photography, and Hill and Luke team up to teach Art in Public Places.
