The Praxis Series™ Tests for Future Teachers

Two assessment tests are required for teaching licensure in Minnesota.

Praxis I ® Pre-professional Skills Test (PPST®)

The Praxis I ® Pre-professional Skills Test (PPST®) is required of all students entering any teacher training program in Minnesota. Normandale students should take this test before they transfer to any 4-year institution. This test is usually taken early in your second year of classes before applying to your transfer school. Normandale offers the paper-based version of this test 3 times a year.
