What do you like most about being a Counselor at Normandale?
Working with adults from diverse backgrounds, both culturally, ethnically, socioeconomic and religious. Also, I enjoy working holistically with students - considering academic, career and personal concerns. Also we are involved in such a variety of tasks: teaching, advising, counseling, administrative work, college wide committee work.

If you could give one piece of advice to an incoming Normandale student, what would it be?
"Take responsibility for your learning by practicing good organization, time management skills as well as attending classes and staying on top of class assignments."

What are your professional areas of interest?
Student development, mental health issues, career development.

Where did you grow up and what is your favorite childhood memory?
Norwood-Young America, Minnesota. Spending time on my uncle and aunt's farm during summer vacation.

What are your interests or hobbies?
I enjoy solitude... so I enjoy nature the flora and fauna. I also like to read, go to movies and theatre, and enjoy art history. Another passion is travel and culinary delights.
