What do you like most about being a Counselor at Normandale?
I enjoy being a counselor because it allows me the opportunity to deal with many students of various backgrounds.

If you could give one piece of advice to an incoming Normandale student, what would it be?
"One piece of advice I like to give to students is that it doesn't matter how you start, the most important thing is how you finish. In other words, if you set your goals on achieving a college degree, you need to remain persistent until that task is completed."

What are your professional areas of interest?
My profession interest is in dealing with students of color and empowering them to stay task oriented.

Where did you grow up and what is your favorite childhood memory?
I grew up in Helena, Arkansas (60 miles southwest of Memphis, Tennessee).

What are your interests or hobbies?
My hobbies include spending time with my husband, my Rose girl, and my two sons. I also enjoy traveling and reading spiritual publications.
