BUSN 1120 Introduction
to Small Business Management 3 CR FALL, SPR.
Examines all phases of setting up a
small business: Management, marketing and
financial operations. Final project is the
development of a business plan.
III. Recommended Skills: No
prerequisites. Reading level 3, English
level 2, Math level 1.

V. Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course, the students should be

VI, Methods for Evaluation of Student
Learning:
Weekly quizzes, business
simulations games, developing a written business plan as a team, business plan presentation
as a team, evaluating team members.
VII. Special Information: Team participation is mandatory, as many of the
activities revolve around working in a team. Students are also evaluated by their team peers as to their effort
and contribution to the team.
